The United Arab Emirates is haven for business and one of the most attractive places for tourism. The Arab country washed by waters of Oman sea and the Gulf is a federation consisting of seven Emirates: Dubai, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al-Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain. Each of them is a unique and attractive place with its own peculiarities and regulations.

Abu Dhabi

The largest Emirate in terms of area, constituting a part of the United Arab Emirates - 67.3 square km. Abu Dhabi’s population is about 2 million people (totally the population of the Emirates is just over 8 million people). The largest oil deposits in the United Arab Emirates are located here. Abu Dhabi produces 2 million barrels of "black gold" per day (with real potential of 1,5 times more than the current production). Also the Emirate produces natural gas. Abu Dhabi is ranked fourth in the world in terms of its reserves of gas.

The second largest Emirate, which today is the major center of commercial activities of the UAE and the heart of tourism and international trade on the coast of the Gulf. There are three international ports in Dubai: Jebel-Ali and port Rashid. It is the most cosmopolitan and liberal Emirate of the UAE, the development of which was triggered by the discovery of oil, and active development of tourism, real estate market and retail business.

Sharjah is the third largest Emirate in the UAE and it is the center of international trade in the UAE. There is a port Khalid here with constantly increasing turnover, state of the art airport and Expo center, which regularly arranges various exhibitions and fairs.

This is the only Emirate washed by waters of the Gulf of Oman. Particular geographical location provides Fujairah with a number of strategically important advantages. Large commercial companies, government and public institutions as well as the office of Ruler are located on the territory of this Emirate. Besides there is also international airport and seaport in Fujairah.

Ras Al-Khaimah

Saqr port is located in Ras Al-Khaimah, through which large volumes of raw materials are exported. Also there are several factories engaged in production of cement. Furthermore, the largest manufacturer of ceramics in the world is located here. At the same time the Emirate offers favorable conditions for business in two available free trade zones.

Umm al-Quwain

A tiny Emirate characterized by slow, a bit provincial life. This place has preserved the lifestyle and traditions of local population of the UAE. Quiet and calm Umm al-Quwain attracts tourists who would like to enjoy tranquility of the Arab evenings and the measured beat of the waves.

The smallest in terms of its area Emirate of the UAE, which is in proximity to international airports of Ras-Al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Dubai. Affordable prices on accommodation compared to Dubai and Sharjah was the reason for relocation of many people working in these economically active Emirates to Ajman because of costs of accommodation and convenient location. Despite its very small size the Emirate has its own port, free trade zone and various production facilities.
